About the Author
Louise Walker is a young designer who graduated in commercial photography from the Arts University Bournemouth. Introduced to craft in her second year of university, she is now working as a full time designer and professional knitter. Boden, Knit Today, and Crafty Magazine have commissioned her bespoke knits and her work has also been seen on the Alan Titchmarsh show, in the Daily Mail and recently sold some of her work to the model Claudia Schiffer. "Fur" real, No guilt wearing

I have already made a hat, a stole, and am now working on a coaster.All for Christmas presents. I have only had this book for two and a half weeks. Love the fact that you can be a protector of all living creatures great and small, yet own a "fur" of your own. I plan to make every project before the end of 2015!

Great designs, bad advice on materials

The designs are great. Choose your yarn carefully. I made the raccoon hat from the ($$$$) yarn specified and the texture and color was nothing like the model depicted. After seeing the recommended yarn in person,I can think of many substitutes that would produce a result much closer to what is shown (at a better price!). Is this the fault of the book? Yes. If the designer specifies materials, then the photo should show the design made in those materials. This is clearly not the case for this one pattern.
