About the Author
Ilona Carneiro is a lecturer in infectious disease epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). She is a malaria researcher with substantial experience in teaching, developing and organising epidemiology courses.
Natasha Howard is a research fellow at LSHTM. She is a researcher on health in conflict-affected settings and an experienced distance learning course developer, organiser and teacher.

Excellent introduction to Epidemiology

Having no previous experience or education in Epidemiology was not a problem with this wonderful resource. I was enrolled in Intro to Epidemiology via Distance Learning and was nervous about having limited access to tutors. The text breaks down complicated Epidemiology principles, terms and equations into a simple format understandable to anyone willing to take the time. Numerous real-life examples abound in the book and keep the reading interesting. I can't recommend it enough. Knowledgable and experienced authors make this a great introductory text.

An easy to read and understand book on epidemiology. I would recommend this to anyone who is starting the study of epidemiology, or needing to review the basics.
