Author, teacher, and visual artist Guillaume Wolf “Prof G.” has spent decades exploring the transformative power of symbols, archetypes, and creativity—and their relationship with the everyday world. Guillaume is an expert in creativity and visual communication. When he’s not busy working on his art or helping brands and organizations, he teaches communication design and branding at the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. Guillaume lives with his wife and daughter in Los Angeles, California.

Not really all that

This can be called a collection of inspirational quotes and insights with corresponding artwork shown every other page.
The words I found to be almost a parody of "deep thoughts", things along the lines of certain greeting cards. Not that they are untrue or insincere, but it has all been said before and has trickled down everywhere from the self-help genre.
Good inspirational quotes and insights have many layers to them and elicit from the reader a dwelling on deeper meaning.
They resonate of wisdom. These are naive.
I bought this book because the reviews were so overwhelmingly positive. I decided to trust the wisdom of the 'crowd" on this one as I like the way Amazon's recommendations are calibrated.
The best quote as it was very applicable here was, "As a creative, make sure you're saavy with money.Save it. Be smart." (p.244)
So too, you ought to save yours.

Thought provoking and inspiring! I am a circle!

Thought provoking and inspiring. When I opened to the first few pages of the book, I was greeted with a preface. In the preface it stated "Start from the beginning, the middle or the end-do whatever you want. This is your moment." I thought to myself, "Why yes, this is my moment, I'm going to do something different." So I decided to start reading from the middle of the book. Boy was this book a great experience. While reading "You Are a Circle," I found myself deep in thought and curious about my life. Some of the quotes in this book are relatable to me on a personal level and some leave you with a creative spark that lingers long after you have put down the book. The book is very engaging and interactive especially with its non-linear format.
The minimalist design of the book is absolutely awesome. The circles on every other page provide an enhancement to the writings on the prior page. For me, the circles helped me form a solid answer as I was deep in thought after reading some of the words of wisdom Guillaume provided.
As a creative, I would recommend this book to artists and designers. This book brings a lot to the table to get your creative juices flowing and to just starting thinking of things you would have never thought of. It encourages you to be curious and to keep pushing forward. As a regular guy living life day by day, I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone. It is not only inspiring but after reading it I found myself having a more positive view on life.

"A Visual Meditation" indeed!

As a creative-in-learning, whose mind can be easily polluted by discouraging thoughts, I found this book to be inspiring, eye-opening, and calming. The book is executed so simply, yet its content holds depth that is extremely relevant and captivating. The circles which proceed after each thought have therapeutic quality about them--not only do they serve as a great aid to its preceding words, but they give the reader a moment to pause, absorb, and reflect upon the profound thought they had just been exposed to.
We live in a fast-paced world. And this one book, as the title states, is indeed "a visual meditation" for those who need to take that moment to de-stress and slow down. I promise that after you read one page, you will want to read the rest!
